Matthew Lastner presents his research at SURF '23
Matthew Lastner is a senior undergraduate student majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science, and minoring in physics.
Last year, supported by an NSF grant, Matthew investigated parameter identifiability for in vivo models of HIV, and presented his finding at SURF '23.
Over the summer, he expanded his research to include methods of parameter identification, parameter estimation, and parameter sensitivity for models of biological systems.
Matthew is an Undergraduate Merck Fellow and will continue his work this upcoming academic year. He intends to pursue a PhD in applied mathematics after graduation.
